Dancing skeletons started appearing on this band's album art in 1977, when they were seen lined up across the inside cover of the What A Long Strange Trip It's Been LP. With the Under The Rainbow design, these iconic characters each have a different colorful shade of the rainbow and are lined up against a fantasy landscape backdrop as the sun peaks. Skeletons tie into the band's name and much of the psychedelic messaging in their music.
